What are Arts?

Students who have a creative disposition usually choose Arts as their stream of choice for higher studies.

Eligibility Criteria for Studying Arts 


Undergraduate Level 

  • The candidate is expected to secure a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their 12th standard state board exam.

  • The candidate doesn't need to have chosen the Arts stream in their 10+2. They can come from any stream.

  • The expected cut-off is lower for students from backward classes, scheduled castes, or scheduled tribes. 


Postgraduate

  • The candidate needs to have completed their graduation. 

  • The candidate needs to secure a minimum of 50% as their aggregate at the undergraduate level from any recognized university. 

 

Entrance Exams for studying Arts 

Here are a few entrance-level exams that students wishing to opt for Arts can sit for:

Aptitude required for studying Arts 

The main skill is centered around an individual's liberated expression of their creativity. However, apart from the above obvious, here is a list of a few skill sets that a candidate pursuing Arts is expected to possess:

Fees for Arts students 

An undergraduate course in media communications at a private university is expected to be anywhere between 3.24K - 23.10 L. However, the same course from a government university is expected to be somewhere between 3.24K and 2.24L.

A postgraduate course in media communications from a private university is expected to be anywhere between 3.06K - 11.10 L. However, the same course from a government university is expected to be somewhere between 6.58K and 2.40 L. 

Doctoral courses in media communications from a private university are expected to be between 7.50K and 4.80 L. However, a doctoral course from a government university can cost somewhere between 60.60K-2.70L. 

Please note that all the numbers mentioned above are estimates and that the course fee differs from university to university.
