Eligibility and Requirements for B Arch

The first step towards acquiring a Bachelor of Architecture degree is meeting the necessary eligibility criteria and course requirements. Students can join B Arch programs by appearing for architecture entrance exams held across the country. The eligibility criteria are as follows-

  • Candidates must have passed their 10+2 (or equivalent) examinations from a recognized Indian school and board with 50% minimum aggregate marks.

  • Candidates must have chosen the science stream in their 10+2 with English, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.

 

B Arch Admission Procedure

The official procedure for admission into a Bachelor of Architecture course is as follows-

  • Candidates applying to B Arch programs must fulfill the minimum eligibility to sit for architecture entrance exams. Candidates can apply for architectural entrances like JEE and NATA by registering in the online portal and submitting the required documents and application fees.

  • After writing the entrance exams, candidates will be shortlisted based on their test scores, ranks, and merit lists in the JoSAA and the respective college’s counseling session. Some colleges also conduct group discussions and private interviews (GD/PI) for further screening of candidates.

  • Selected candidates can finalize their B Arch admission at the respective college by completing the document verification and fee payments.

Bachelor of Architecture courses in India require clearing entrance exams for admission. Various entrance tests are conducted on the central, state, and university levels for admission into B.Tech. programs in engineering and technology colleges across India.
