The NEST exam is typically held in June every year. However, the exact exam date and other important events may vary from year to year. NEST takes place in two sessions (Session 1 and Session 2) on the same day every year.

The online registration process for NEST 2023 began on the 27th of February after the examination authorities released the application form online. It was an online form fill-up process and all applications by candidates had to be submitted by the 24th of May 2023.

NEST admit card has been released on the 12th of June 2023 by the examination authorities on the official website of NEST. The admit card is mandatory during the exam and must be maintained by the applicants until their counselling and admission procedure is complete.

NEST 2023 results will be declared on the 10th of July. NEST merit list/result contains the roll numbers and/or names of students who qualified for the integrated MSc entrance test. Candidates must download their scorecards by providing their login information. The scorecard contains information on sectional and total scores, percentile, and All India Rank (AIR). The scorecards should also be kept till NEST 2023 admissions process is complete.

Candidates who qualify for NEST 2023 will be eligible for participating in the counselling process. Once the counselling procedure is completed, both the Institutes, NISER and UM-DAE-CEBS will release an institute-specific merit list.
