About NEET-PG 2024 for MS, MD, PG Diploma
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Postgraduate 2024 is a test that students must take for admission into medical schools for advanced studies like MD/MS or PG Diploma courses. It's the main entrance exam that determines the eligibility and ranking for admission. This exam is required by law, specifically Section 61(2) of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, along with 10(D) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Qualifying NEET-PG is mandatory for entry to MD/MS/PG-Diploma courses under various Universities/ Institutions in the country. NEET-PG 2024 was conducted by NBEMS across various examination centres. NEET-PG 2024 was a computer-based test comprising 200 multiple-choice questions. The duration of the test was 3 hours and 30 minutes and was conducted in the English language only.
NEET-PG 2024 will be the only exam that determines eligibility and entrance for admission to MS/MD/PG Diploma Courses for the academic session 2024-25 which include the following-

Application Procedure for NEET-PG 2024
The application procedure for NEET-PG 2024 involves the following procedure-

New User Registration for generating the User ID and Password

Filling out the application form; providing the required information, uploading the necessary documents, scanned signature, thumb impression, and prescribed photographs

Candidates must take a printout of the filled Application form with the Transaction ID printed on it and the Payment status mentioned as “S” (successful) for records
Eligibility NEET-PG 2024
Individuals who have completed their MBBS degree or have a Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognised under the NMC Act, 2019 and the repealed Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, along with a permanent or provisional registration certificate issued by the NMC (National Medical Commission) or the previous Medical Council of India or State Medical Council, and have finished or are expected to complete one year of internship by current academic year, are eligible to apply for NEET-PG 2024. They can submit their applications through the online application system available at the websites https://nbe.edu.in or https://natboard.edu.in.
If a candidate is found to be ineligible at any point during NEET-PG 2024, they will not be allowed to participate in the examination or counselling. In the rare situation where an ineligible candidate manages to appear and succeed in NEET-PG 2024, their results and candidacy will be invalidated or considered cancelled.
Any requests for participation in NEET-PG 2024 from candidates who will complete their internship by current academic year, or hold qualifications that are not recognized according to the NMC Act, 2019, and the repealed IMC Act, 1956, will be promptly rejected. Candidates are also advised against advocating for such requests.
The dates provided by candidates in the application form, indicating the start and end dates of their 12-month Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship, will be considered the final dates. Candidates will need to submit the original certificate of completion for the internship during the counselling or admission process at the assigned Medical College or Institute.
Candidates must provide documentary proof of their registration with the NMC (National Medical Commission), the previous Medical Council of India, or the State Medical Council on the day of the examination as well as during the counselling or admission process.
Candidates should be aware that merely appearing in NEET-PG does not guarantee automatic rights to secure a postgraduate MD/MS/Post Graduate Diploma seat. The selection and admission to postgraduate seats in medical institutions recognized for offering these courses, in accordance with the National Medical Commission (NMC) Act, 2019 and the repealed Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, are subject to fulfilling various criteria. These criteria include admission requirements, eligibility, medical fitness, and any additional criteria prescribed by the respective universities, medical institutions, the NMC, and the State/Central Government.
Colleges Accepting Score NEET-PG 2024
The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test- Postgraduate 2024 (NEET-PG 2024) score is accepted by Private Medical Colleges, Institutions, and Universities/Deemed Universities across India. Scores are also accepted by Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.

Syllabus for NEET-PG 2024
The exam syllabus will consist of subjects or knowledge areas that align with the Graduate Medical Education Regulations approved by the previous Medical Council of India, with prior approval from the Government of India.
Examination Pattern for NEET-PG 2024
NEET-PG 2024 was a Computer-based test with 200 MCQs conducted in a single day and single session. Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Four marks (+4). Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1). Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0). The duration of the test would be three (03) hours and 30 minutes.
During the examination, candidates have the choice to mark any question, whether they have answered it or not, for review. This means that candidates can revisit these questions before the exam time is over. It's important to note that these marked-for-review questions will be evaluated according to the specified marking scheme.
Declaration of Results NEET-PG 2024
The NBEMS (National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences) organizes the NEET-PG 2024 examination, declares the results, and provides them to the designated counselling authority. It's important for candidates to understand that NBEMS is only responsible for conducting the exam and sharing the results. They do not have any involvement in the counselling or allocation of postgraduate seats. The verification of documents and determination of candidate eligibility will be handled by the relevant authority during the counselling and admission process.
The results of NEET (PG) 2024 are declared on an All India Rank [AIR] basis. The result of NEET-PG 2024 is displayed on NBEMS websites https:// natboard.edu.in and https://nbe.edu.in
Outcomes of NEET-PG 2024
NBEMS was responsible for organizing NEET-PG 2024. Candidates should be aware that NBEMS' involvement is limited to conducting the exam, announcing the results, and delivering them to the designated counselling authority. NEET-PG 2024 was the qualifying entrance exam for admission to the MS/MD/PG Diploma courses for the academic session 2024-25 in Private Medical Colleges, Institutions, and Universities/Deemed Universities across India. Scores are also accepted by Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions. Candidates who satisfy the cut-off requirements will proceed to the counselling stage which will assist them with getting allotted to medical colleges.
However, NBEMS is not involved in the counselling or allocation of PG seats. The verification of documents and assessment of the candidate's eligibility will be carried out by the relevant authority during the counselling and admission process.
The counselling is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for the following Institutions/Universities-

50 % All India Quota Seats of all states (The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir can participate only if they offer a certain number of seats.)

100% seats (All India Quota seats + Institutional Quota seats) of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/ Banaras Hindu University/ University of Delhi/ Central Institutes as per eligibility conditions as provided by the respective college/institute
