Eligibility Criterion for NEET-MDS 2024
In order to qualify for admission to the Master in Dental Surgery program, an individual must possess a Bachelor in Dental Surgery degree from an acknowledged university or institution in India. Furthermore, they need to be enrolled with the State Dental Council and have obtained either provisional or permanent registration. It is also obligatory for candidates to have finished a one-year compulsory rotatory internship at a dental college that is approved or recognized.
A candidate who has passed the final qualifying examination (BDS or an internationally recognized dental degree approved by the Government of India/Dental Council of India) and is currently engaged in a mandatory 12-month rotatory internship/practical training will be eligible to appear for this examination if they are expected to finish the internship by March 31, 2024. However, to be considered for admission, the candidate must have successfully completed the compulsory rotatory internship and obtained provisional or permanent registration on or before March 31, 2024. Alternatively, the candidate can present a certificate from their institution's head confirming their expected completion of the internship by March 31, 2024.
Candidates who are found ineligible at any stage of NEET-MDS 2024 will be disqualified from taking part in the examination or counselling. In the unlikely event that an ineligible candidate somehow manages to participate in and/or achieve success in NEET-MDS 2023, their results and candidacy will be nullified or considered invalid.
Candidates who apply to take part in NEET-MDS 2024 and fall under one of the following categories: completing their internship after March 31, 2024, or possessing qualifications that are not recognized under the Dentists Act, will have their applications swiftly rejected. Furthermore, candidates are strongly advised against engaging in any form of lobbying or campaigning for their applications.
Candidates who have received admit cards for the NEET-MDS 2024 examination have provisional eligibility. It should be emphasized that appearing in NEET-MDS 2024 does not ensure automatic admission to MDS courses.
