AILET 2024 Syllabus

 

Every year, NLU, Delhi posts the official All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) syllabus on its website for all interested students. The official AILET syllabus contains all the information about the chapters and subjects that must be studied in order to pass the exam. Legal Aptitude and Mathematics were taken out of the AILET Exam Syllabus by the authorities in charge of administering the exam in 2022. Therefore, in order to perform well in the upcoming exam, applicants must make sure they have covered all the chapters and significant topics of the AILET Exam Syllabus.

 

What is the AILET 2024 syllabus?

 

The current syllabus of AILET 2024 for BA.LL.B(Hons) is usually divided across three areas or subjects, including-

  • Section A - English Language (50 questions of 1 mark each - 50 marks)

  • Section B - Current Affairs and General Knowledge (30 questions of 1 mark each - 30 marks)

  • Section C - Logical Reasoning (70 questions of 1 mark each - 70 marks)

English Language

This segment assesses the candidates' proficiency in the English language. In the English segment of the AILET syllabus, key topics such as English Proficiency, English Vocabulary, English Comprehension, and English Usage Error test the candidates' foundational English skills.

 

Current Affairs & General Knowledge

 

This segment evaluates the candidate's general knowledge abilities for both current events and static GK. To ace this section, candidates must be up to date on current events. The main topics included are Current Affairs, Sports, International Events, General Science, Geography, Economics, UN Bodies' History, Awards, Honours, Eminent Personalities, Civics, and others. The AILET syllabus for GK is not limited to the topics listed above. This section does not have a set AILET Exam Syllabus.

 

Logical Reasoning

 

There are questions in this segment that need the candidate to make decisions and use critical thinking. The candidates must formulate their ideas after examining the questions. Some of the main topics that are included are Ranking, Assertion, Illogical Arguements, Coding, Decoding, Syllogism, Identifying Patterns, Analogies, Series, Blood Relation, Logical Links, among others.

 

The modified syllabus of AILET 2024 for LL.M is as follows,

 

  • Multiple choice questions only
  • 100 MCQ = 100 marks
  • All questions will be from different branches of law
