Utkal University, Bhubaneswar is situated on a sprawling campus spanning 399.9 acres in Vani Vihar, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The UUB campus is a wi-fi-enabled campus housing state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure to ensure a well-rounded educational experience for students of the university. UUB campus houses spacious and well-equipped classrooms and a modern computer centre equipped with state-of-the-art computers and laboratory facilities. UUB’s computing facilities are also employed by non-academic organisations such as the Rourkela Steel Plant, the Orissa State Electricity Board, and the FCI Talcher Heavy Water Project besides accommodating academic needs across the state.

The UUB central library is named “Parija Library” in honour of Professor Pranakrushna Parija, the first vice-chancellor. The central library is spread over a 28,000 square feet area and houses a large reading room and eight separate sections available to students including periodical, reference, manuscript, documentation and text-book and administrative sections. The library houses over 2,00,000 books and 5800 rare manuscripts and comprises a digital library facility via the INFLIBNET e-ShodhSindhu Consortium and OSHEC Consortium which offers access to over 119000 e-books, more than 3 million e-theses, and 50000 e-videos.

Utkal University, Bhubaneswar offers sports facilities through the Biju Pattanaik Sports Complex which is equipped with a gallery boasting a seating capacity of 1000 spectators. The campus has sports facilities such as courts, grounds, and equipment for a variety of outdoor sports like football, cricket, basketball (cemented court), handball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, and two outdoor courts each for badminton and volleyball. There is an indoor hall and gymnasium housing two table tennis courts in the hall and a 400-metre athletic track.

The UUB campus is residential and offers accommodation facilities in the form of 13 fully furnished hostels on campus which are divided into six boys’ hostels and seven girls’ hostels. Each hostel is equipped with a common room with access to facilities like computers, WiFi connection, library resources, newspapers, periodicals and a TV. Hostel accommodation also includes access to mess facilities and a gym within campus hostel premises.

Other facilities on campus include ATM banking facilities and medical and healthcare infrastructure in the form of a health centre providing all basic and emergency medical care and medicines free of cost. There is also a cafeteria on campus serving hygienic and healthy food to students.
