To be eligible for admission to UG-law courses, students have to secure the cut-off marks in entrance examinations UPES Law School Admission Test (ULSAT), Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), and Law School Admission Test (LSAT). Admission Procedure
University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun accepts students for diploma, undergraduate, post-graduate, integrated, and doctorate degrees. Candidates' marks in JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) Main, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT), or Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) scores are used to determine admission to the B.Tech programmes. Candidates are admitted to UPES Dehradun's B.Com (Hons), B.A (Hons), B.Sc (Hons), and dual degree programmes based on their achievement in the last qualifying exams and a personal interview. University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Management Entrance Test (UPESMET-UG)/Under Graduate Aptitude Test (UGAT) results are used to determine admission to B.B.A courses. UPES Dehradun accepts UPES Law School Admission Test (ULSAT), Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), and Law School Admission Test (LSAT) scores for admission to UG-law courses. UPES Dehradun also provides postgraduate (M.A / M.SC / MBA / LLM) degrees with various specializations. Interested candidates can apply through their official website. For an MBA degree candidate must qualify for an entrance examination CAT / MAT / XAT. UPES Dehradun also offers a PhD degree with various disciplines, To apply for their PhD degree candidates must qualify for an entrance examination conducted by the institute RET or (UGC NET/CSIR NET/GATE/SET). Final admission is based on personal interview and merit basis.

Scholarships
All students who have applied for admission to courses at University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun and taken the UPES entrance exam will be considered for merit scholarships of up to 30%.
