Union Christian College (UCC), Aluva is a government college affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. UCC, Aluva is a University Grants Commission (UGC)-recognised institution and was founded as an ecumenical higher education institution in 1921 by four alumni of Madras Christian College- K.C. Chacko, A.M. Varki, C.P. Mathew, and Shri. V.M. Ittyerah.

UCC, Aluva is sited on an expansive 40-acre campus in Aluva, Kerala and offers infrastructural facilities such as well-equipped classrooms, seminar rooms, cutting-edge laboratories, a well-stocked library, hostel accommodation, auditoriums, an indoor stadium, and on-campus ATM facilities.
UCC, Aluva boasts an eminent teaching faculty of 160 members committed to imparting high-quality education to students.

UCC, Aluva offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses and programs. Candidates seeking admission into undergraduate courses at UCC, Aluva must meet the eligibility criteria of passing their 10+2 or equivalent examinations from a recognised board in the relevant stream. Students seeking admission into postgraduate courses must have completed their bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream to qualify for admission at UCC, Aluva. Final selection into MBA and MCA programmes is conducted based on the candidate’s performance in the national/state entrance test.
UCC, Aluva offers scholarships to students of every department. The 'Boobilee Scholarship' is offered to students based on their merit and requirement. The 'Chechamma Memorial Trust' also established five scholarships that would be meted out based on academic excellence and financial necessity. Other scholarships offered to UCC, Aluva students include the 'Dr. P. C. Alexander Scholarship', 'Trinity loan scholarship', 'Liberty Loan Scholarship', and the 'Alummootil Foundation'.
There is a placement and training cell atUCC, Aluva offering visiting firms full support during the college’s placement process. The cell makes arrangements for pre-placement talks, written tests, interviews, and group discussions according to the requirements of the visiting firms. Starting in the first year, students receive career counselling based on the disciplines they study. Students attend classes for placement preparation, interviews based on the company and student skills, knowledge-specific assessments, and technical and non-technical mock exams. Students frequently have interviews to assess their strengths and weaknesses. Some of the well-known companies hiring UCC Aluva students include Infosys, TCS, Wipro Technologies, Capgemini, Cognizant, Deloitte, and Aashman Foundation.
UCC, Aluva also offers a host of extracurricular and cultural activities. There is an NSS and an NCC unit on campus. The college union regularly organises various kinds of activities and events such as the drama festival, Voice of UC, Step of UC, book sales and exhibitions, the UC Biennale, and the college arts festival. There are also several social and literary clubs on campus; these include the drama club, quiz club, film club, debating club, adventure and nature-action club, entrepreneurship development club, photography club, media club, tourism club, and fine arts club.

Admission Procedure

UCC, Aluva offers various UG and Pg programs. For UG admission at UCC, candidates must pass HSC examination in relevant stream from any board.
