Surendranath College, Kolkata is situated on a campus located in the heart of Kolkata with easy connectivity to the Sealdah Station and College Street. The campus houses well-equipped academic and co-curricular facilities to ensure that well-rounded holistic education is imparted to students. The campus is enabled with wi-fi-connectivity and CCTV surveillance.
The SCK campus houses well-equipped smart classrooms that are enabled with Information and Communications Technology (ICT) facilities; study halls and rooms include the biology gallery, the botany classroom (Aaranyak Hall and AJC Bose Hall), the chemistry gallery, the mathematics department, the microbiology department, the zoology department (Darwin Hall), and the economics department. There is a spacious auditorium on campus that boasts a seating capacity of up to 320 students. The campus has two recording studios with up-to-date recording equipment and well-equipped modern laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment and lab facilities. Lab infrastructure on the SCK campus includes a computation lab, IT labs for the library and departments of journalism, mathematics, commerce, physics, and computer science, and an animal and plant museum.
The Surendranath College, Kolkata library is one of the oldest college libraries in its vicinity as it was instituted in the pre-independence era to cater to the academic and research needs of students and faculty members. The library has a carpet area of 3283 square metres and is equipped with an AV room. Besides the central library, SCK also has a students’ reading zone and 15 separate departmental libraries for each of the faculties- Arts, Science, Commerce, and Bio-Science. The library houses over 25,000 books and newspapers while the digital library functions as an online repository housing more than 95000 e-books, 6000 e-journals, Oxford e-books, and databases.
Sports facilities on the SCK campus include an indoor gymnasium, a common room, a recreation room, and indoor games facilities for sports like table tennis. Students can avail of the "West Bengal Health Scheme" for any medical treatments and checkups.
