The St. John's Medical College's Central Library was originally housed on the first floor of the SJMC building, with a large area for stocking books, back volumes of periodicals, and current publications. The library was relocated to a new, separate building in March 1987, known as the Zablocki Learning Centre. The library is open 14 hours on weekdays, twelve hours on Saturdays, four hours on Sundays, and fourteen hours on Hospital working days and College holidays. The digital library on campus provides students with access to more resources. SJMC has made provision for separate hostels for boys and girls.
Male and female students can stay at the SJMC's hostels, which have basic furniture and are subject to availability. Students must provide their own mattresses, pillows, bed linen, mosquito nets, and other personal goods. Students have access to the football ground and many events are organised where students are encouraged to participate. A field for cricket and football ground is available on campus. Besides, a basketball court on the campus is also available along with a volleyball court. Indoor games are also available where games such as chess, carrom and many more are available to the students. The gym is open to students and is equipped with the latest training equipment.
Each department has its own lab. The Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pathology, and other pre-clinical and para-clinical departments have well-equipped student laboratories that contribute to delivering good hands-on teaching to students. Several departments have museums that house a wealth of educational resources.
The canteen on the campus provides students with healthy and nutritious food at affordable rates.
The medical team is composed of professionals who cater to the medical emergencies that arise on campus.
The campus is Wi-Fi enabled and all students can use it. The classrooms are equipped with ICT facilities and are furnished. SJMC also has four auditoriums. The auditoriums have a seating capacity of two hundred to one thousand, furnished with the latest technology. With ten lecture halls, with a seating capacity of thirty to three hundred and fifty- SJMC strives to provide an excellent infrastructural facility.
