Siliguri Institute of Technology, Siliguri provides the best facilities possible for the all-round development of students. The library offers over 75000 books, as well as CDs and DVDs. Additionally, a book bank facility is also available. Apart from the vast range of physical texts, SIT, Siliguri also has a digital library facility allowing members access to a vast array of e-books, e-journals, and e-databases from providers like IEEE, SAGE, DELNET, National Digital Library and others.
All departments of SIT, Siliguri have laboratories equipped with the latest technology in accordance with the University as well as industry needs. An adequate number of computers are maintained so that 1:1 support can be provided for the students. The computers are supported with high-speed internet connectivity. The Computer labs are air-conditioned and have UPS support for uninterrupted functioning. The Games and Sports Committee of SIT, Siliguri oversees all sports and athletic activities. The students are encouraged to participate in the Annual Sports Meet. The activities include athletics, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, carrom, chess, and many more.
There are 3 dedicated hostels, 2 for girls and 1 for boys, at the SIT, Siliguri Campus. Out of them, the boys' hostel is for first-year boys only, with a capacity of 65 students. There is one hostel for first-year girls and another for the seniors, each with 50 students capacity. Due to the limited number of accommodations, it is provided on a first come first serve basis. The hostel bookings are valid for one year.
The campus is fully covered by free high-speed Wi-Fi internet and houses 3 cafeterias catering to breakfast, lunch, and tea and snacks services. An air-conditioned First Aid Centre with trained medical support staff is present on the campus of SIT, Siliguri, along with a round-the-clock emergency vehicle. Bus service is provided by SIT, Siliguri along specified routes to and from the city. The campus entrance also has an ATM for the convenience of the students and staff.
