With financial support from the School of Architecture and Planning, Chennai, the government of Tamil Nadu, and the UGC, the library operates successfully, and its entire collection of publications has grown to over thirteen thousand. The British Council, other consulates, academic and research organisations, as well as planning and development agencies, have all provided books and technical publications. Design projects, student seminars, and lectures are all ways that the school fosters interactive learning, and these are its greatest strength. The professionals have shown great appreciation for the abundance of data that was gathered for the design and thesis. SAP Chennai being a leading institution in India, serves as a model school for architecture and town planning in the area, with other schools looking to our curricula and pedagogies for inspiration.
There are separate hostels for girls and boys. The hostel also has a health care centre for medical emergencies. Hygiene and sanitation are maintained in the hostels.
SAP has various sporting facilities.
The labs on the campus are fully furnished. The Environmental Lab, Acoustic lab, GIS lab and computer Lab are equipped with the latest technologies. The Acoustic lab is equipped with modern equipment/instruments to perform routine building codes and the GIS Lab, which is part of the UGC's Special Assistance Programme (SAP) – DRS I, is equipped with four (4) high-end workstations running licenced GIS applications like ArcGIS Desktop and ERDAS Imagine. The lab was established with the goal of providing geo-informatics and computing skills to architecture students, as well as their application in the fields of urban planning and conservation research.
SAP Chennai offers its students multi-cuisine canteens with comfortable seating arrangements. The food is prepared under hygienic conditions.
Medical requirements are looked after by the medical team who are present in SAP Chennai. The medical team provides support to the students and the faculty members.
The classrooms are equipped with the latest technologies and air-conditioned. The classrooms the fully furnished and supports interactive learning and teaching. The multi-purpose hall on the campus helps with events and seminars.
