Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat (SVNIT Surat), located in Gujarat, has emerged as one of the most leading institutions across the country.

The foundation stone of SVNIT Surat was laid in 1961 with an aim to be a centre of excellence at global standards. The government-run institute which is considered to be a "Deemed University" has been approved by UGC.

Adobe, Amazon, Nokia, Bajaj and Accenture are among the top recruiters that take part in placement drives conducted by the Placement Department. Students are assisted with entrepreneurship, industry interaction, training, and communication skills. Placement drives at the SVNIT observe the highest package of 40.51 LPA and an average package of 14.18 LPA.

The basic amenities provided to students by the SVNIT Surat include a digital library; separate hostel accommodations for boys and girls, indoor and outdoor sports facilities such as 2 air-conditioned world class badminton courts, basketball courts; well equipped labs; medical facilities with health care centre; well furnished air-conditioned classrooms; on-campus ATM; and a cafeteria.

Admission Procedure

Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat runs an admission procedure for the students (co-ed) in courses of Engineering (B.Tech) based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) via the JoSAA/CSAB portal. Candidates must go to the examination website's official webpage to receive the necessary information and apply. Following their participation, candidates must get the required qualifying marks to meet the SVNIT Surat's cut-off to register for the appropriate course, followed by the candidates' final admission procedure with the admission fee payment.

Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat also provides post-graduate degrees M. Tech / M.sc / P.hD. programs with various specializations. Interested candidates can apply through their official website.  For the integrated programme SVNIT Surat conducts the admission process as per the UGC guidelines, candidate must also qualify for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). For M.tech degrees, candidates must qualify Graduate Aptitude Test of Engineering (GATE) entrance examination.  For Admission into PhD candidates must have a master's degree. Full-time Institute Research scholars (FIR) taking admission to PhD programs in Engineering, Sciences, English and Management should have qualified for GATE/NET/CAT Examinations, at least once

Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology Surat offers a placement process for final year students that commences at the beginning of the academic year. In June and July, invitations are given to every business that has visited before as well as new businesses including Adobe, Amazon, Nokia, Bajaj, Accenture, and many more. To request the profile and information of the company, a request form is sent with the invitation. Following confirmation of the employers' willingness, they are given priority, and a schedule is created with a list of qualified pupils. A company is invited to visit the SVNIT Surat on a designated day and conduct exams, interviews, and pre-placement talks before choosing the applicants based on the planned timetable.
