R.V. College of Engineering, Bengaluru (RVCE Bengaluru) founded in 1963, was one of the country's first self-financing engineering institutes. Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST), a non-profit Trust, administers the institution. RVCE Bengaluru is an autonomous college.
Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), UGC, and the Government of Karnataka granted RVCE Bengaluru autonomous status in 2007 for its undergraduate programs and in 2016 for its postgraduate programs. Being an autonomous institution affiliated with VTU, RVCE Bengaluru sets its own curricula and academic requirements.
With a focus on sustainable and inclusive technology, RVCE Bengaluru has set itself a vision of "Leadership in Quality Technical Education, Interdisciplinary Research & Innovation."
RVCE Bengaluru offers B.E and M.Tech degrees. For admission at RVCE Bengaluru, candidates must pass HSC(10+2) from any board. And for M.tech and MCA admissions, candidates must have a bachelor's degree from any university.

RVCE Bengaluru approaches the sports world with the motto "A Healthy mind in a Healthy body" and offers a gym, a volleyball court, a basketball court (both indoor and outdoor), a badminton court (both indoor and outdoor), a shuttle court for badminton, a table tennis court, and a cricket field. RVCE Bengaluru is a campus with Wi-Fi. RVCE Bengaluru features 13 seminar rooms and 1 big auditorium with cutting-edge audio-visual facilities to host conferences, workshops, and symposia for national and international audiences. RVCE Bengaluru has continually kept up a strong recruiting track record.
