Rani Birla Girls’ College, Kolkata is situated on a well-equipped campus in Elgin, Kolkata and offers various infrastructural facilities. Spacious classrooms are provided for the academic growth of students. The faculty may avail of the cutting-edge teaching aids in the audiovisual room which is equipped with a variety of audio-visual devices like televisions, tape recorders, overhead projectors, and LCD projectors.
There is a well-stocked general library at RBGC, Kolkata housing volumes on philosophy, psychology, religion, social sciences, language, earth science, fine arts, literature, geography, and history. There are also collections on specialized and professional fields including Communicative English, Journalism and Mass Communication, and Fashion and Apparel Design. Additionally impressive is the library's collection of reference volumes. There is a collection of 13,768 volumes and 14 publications and magazines in the library to which additional books and journals are added annually.
The department of Geography has a well-organized laboratory to meet the needs of Geography practical classes for undergraduate honours and general courses. The geography lab is equipped with survey instruments like Dumpy Level, Prismatic Compass, Measuring Staff, Ranging Rods, and Ground Pins, and mapping instruments like Planimeter, Rotameter, Mirror Stereoscope, and Pocket Stereoscope. RBGC, Kolkata also has a Fashion and Apparel Design Laboratory consisting of two sections- pattern making and garment construction and testing and designing of textiles. RBGC, Kolkata’s IT Academy infrastructural facilitation, a joint initiative of the college and Webel Informatics Ltd., offers IT infrastructure support and IT literacy, teaching students to use the internet for quick reference and thorough study in their respective subjects. Students are also taught various software and IT tools used in business integration and generating excellence by imparting their innovations through multimedia.
RBGC, Kolkata houses well-equipped sports facilities. Students can regularly engage in physical activity under the supervision of a qualified physical instructor and take yoga and aerobics lessons at the college. There is a canteen serving students delicious and fresh meals. RBGC, Kolkata has begun offering students routine medical examinations by licensed medical professionals. The doctor evaluates the students and, if necessary, recommends the proper food and medications. The institution also has a sick room equipped to look after students in their illness and prescribe simple medications to help them temporarily recover.
