Narasinha Dutt College, Howrah (NDC Howrah) is affiliated with the University of Calcutta and was established within the year 1924, it had been initiated by the Late Suranjan Dutt, who named the school after his father’s name Narasinha Dutt, which is among the oldest college in Howrah district of West Bengal .

NDC Howrah is an undergraduate college that has both night and day shift classes. The undergraduate programs at NDC Howrah are offered with degrees of Bachelor of Arts [BA] honours in Bengali, Urdu, Sanskrit, History, etc; Bachelor of Science [B. Sc] in Anthropology, Physics, Zoology, computing , Economics, etc; and Bachelor of Commerce [B. Com]. Students can also avail of the overall courses within the stream of degrees. NDC Howrah offers its postgraduate courses with degrees in Master of Arts [MA] in English and Master of Science [M. Sc.] in applied math.

NDC Howrah's infrastructure includes a standard library furnished with e- resources digitally, labs, a cafeteria, and medical facilities. the normal library of the school houses a huge collection of books altogether fields of study. With the passage of time, new buildings were added because the increased number of courses were introduced.

The faculty of NDC Howrah are exceptionally qualified in their respective subjects and extend a cordial relationship with its students coming from different backgrounds and societal outlooks. They plan to strengthen academic practices in curriculum, worldly pedagogy, assessment, and competence, promoting research culture among students. the school also support their students through projects and consultancy, thus making students socially responsible citizen. Admission Procedure

Narasinha Dutt College, Howrah offers a range of courses in the divisions of Arts, Science, and Commerce with undergraduate degrees like Bachelor of Arts [BA] honours in Bengali, Urdu, Sanskrit, History, etc; Bachelor of Science [B. Sc] in Anthropology, Physics, Zoology, Computer Science, Economics, etc; and Bachelor of Commerce [B. Com]. Students may also avail of the general courses in the stream of degrees.

The eligibility criteria for all the undergraduate courses is that the prospective students shall obtain a 10+2 system of education which relevant subjects that they want to pursue at a higher education level. NDC Howrah offers its postgraduate courses with degrees in Master of Arts [MA] in English and Master of Science [M. Sc] in Applied Mathematics. The eligibility criteria for the postgraduate level is one must have graduated with the relevant subject.
