Midnapore College, (MC) Midnapore (Autonomous) is a government-sponsored autonomous college in Midnapore, West Bengal affiliated with Vidyasagar University. Midnapore College is a University Grants Commission (UGC)-approved college and was instituted in 1873 as a government-sponsored college affiliated with the University of Calcutta. MC, Midnapore became the oldest college in Midnapore and the first grade-degree science college in 1924.
MC, Midnapore is sited on a sprawling 13.59-acre campus in the Midnapore district of West Bengal. The MC, Midnapore campus facilities include spacious and airy classrooms with smart technology, AC seminar halls and an auditorium, language laboratories and various course-based labs, a well-equipped library, sports infrastructure, a hygienic canteen, a medical unit, and hostel accommodation.
MC, Midnapore has an extensive Science and Arts department offering a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, general degree courses, professional courses, undergraduate B Voc degree courses, diploma, and certificate courses.
