The library of Madras Institute of Technology Chennai consists of more than ninety-four thousand and twenty-eight books solely covering Science and Engineering topics. The library also has separate sections for a wide range of journals and references. The other services provided by MIT Chennai's library are Digital Library, Inter-Library Loan, Scopus, and many more facilities. The MIT Chennai library aspires to educate its readers in the areas of creativity and invention. The library was established in the year 1949.
The hostel accommodates twenty-three hundred students. It provides separate accommodations for girls and boys. With meditation halls, fully furnished rooms, and 24/7 Wi-Fi connections, the hostel rooms provide comfort and privacy to their students. The hostel also has a health care centre for medical emergencies. Hygiene and sanitation are maintained in the hostels. A separate hostel is provided for the NRI students. The campus has a green playground stretching over twenty-eight acres.
The campus supports and encourages its students to engage in various sporting events. There are fields for football, hockey, cricket and courts for tennis, volleyball and many more. Yoga is also included in the curriculum.

The computer centre situated on the campus provides the faculty members and students with the latest technological interfaces.

The health centre is set up on the campus. The centre provides students with medical facilities as well as counselling. An inpatient ward, a set-up in the MIT Chennai hostel area, is made available to all the students.
