The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee includes well-designed and planned facilities and infrastructure. Amenities at the IIT Roorkee include hostels for both boys and girls, banks, a post office, a central library, well-equipped classrooms, as well as mechanical and computer labs. To say it in detail they have 10 boys' hostels and 3 girls' hostels with Wi-Fi connectivity, common room and many more facilities.
The library of IIT Roorkee is called ‘Mahatma Gandhi Central Library’ which includes a vast collection of books, magazines, periodicals etc. Through the digital library of IIT Roorkee students can access more than 2 million e-resources. There are many sports facilities provided to students for playing various indoor and outdoor games like badminton, tennis, swimming, basketball, kho kho, table tennis, hockey, etc. The campus has an auditorium to host different events and conferences. There is also a wellness centre which provides all the medical support to its students. In the campus there is a post office which caters to the needs of the students, also there are two banks and several ATMs in the campus (one is the Punjab National Bank and the other one is the State Bank of India) to provide all the banking services.
