Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar is a prestigious technical education institution. Their objective is to provide a comprehensive education that must be supported by a high-quality infrastructure that can accommodate the various activities and amenities available to students on campus.
This list of high quality infrastructure goes from high speed Wi-Fi-enabled campus to health services, central library, gymnasium, sports arena, auditorium, guest rooms and research laboratories. There are 3 boys' hostels and 2 girls' hostels and a multipurpose hostel which can accommodate a total of 3250 students. The hostels are covered with all the necessary facilities.
Various sports facilities include a modern, well-equipped gymnasium and a ‘Gymkhana’ sports student body. Also the campus has nicely curated areas for outdoor sports such as cricket, volleyball and football as well as indoor games like chess, badminton, table tennis. Besides, the campus has some special sports amenities such as athletic race track, long jump, high jump, triple jump, short put. It has a library with a large collection of printed and digital books, journals and other relevant documents. There are more than one canteens or cafeterias that serve nutritious hygienic food to students.
IIT Bhubaneswar has an auditorium with a seating capacity of nearly 300 people, it is mainly used for hosting workshops, conferences, seminars, lectures etc. IIT Bhubaneswar provides 24/7 medical support with a team of health workers and doctors. There are state-of-the-art laboratories at each department such as Computational Lab, Concrete lab, Environmental lab, Geotechnical lab, Structural lab, Surveying lab, Transportation lab, Water Resources Lab and many more. At the campus, there is a shopping complex which includes facilities such as bakery, stationery, general store, medical store, ATM and parlours.
