Goa University, Taleigao (GU, Taleigao) established in 1985 is a State University that enjoys recognition from University Grants Commission. Located on Taleigao Plateau, the scenic campus of the University spreads across 402 acres. GU, Taleigao was established with the aim of imparting distinguished higher education to create more technically skilled and knowledgeable graduates imbibed with a sense of responsibility towards society and who will participate in nation building efforts.
GU, Taleigao follows an online admission procedure. For admission into postgraduate courses, candidates must complete their graduation from relevant stream and admission is granted based on marks/grades obtained in Goa University Admissions Ranking Test (GU-ART). For admission into Doctorate programmes, candidates must complete their masters in the relevant subject. Candidatesare required to learn GU,Taleigao – Ph.D Entrance Test (GU-PET), those candidates who have qualified JRF/M.Phil/NET/SET/GATE/GPAT will be exempted only from the entrance test.

Admission Procedure
