Footwear Design and Development Institute, Hyderabad (FDDI Hyderabad) was founded with the goal of providing education and assisting the Indian industry by closing the talent gap in the fields of footwear, leather accessories, and lifestyle goods. The FDDI faculty's talents and expertise motivate students to attain their greatest potential. The faculty collaborates with academics, research and development teams, and practitioners to generate printed self-educational tools. The instructors bring professional experience, significant exposure, and years of real-world insight to the classroom, in addition to their education from FDDI and some of the world's finest fashion institutions.

Footwear Design and Development Institute, Hyderabad is an autonomous institute that offers four undergraduate programs and two postgraduate programs. After completing an online application for the FDDI All India Selection Test (FDDI-AIST), all applicants for admission must attend counselling.

From all Footwear Design and Development Institutes, students who meet the eligibility requirements can apply for scholarships from government (central and state) organisations.

A centralised campus placement process is used across all FDDI campuses and is overseen by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India. Students at the institute can participate in mock interviews, group discussions, pre-placement training, and industry experience thanks to the Placement Cell. Each student has received a job placement from the college thus far.

The FDDI Hyderabad campus, with its 16 acres of land and top-notch training facilities, is a marvel of harmony in design and natural beauty. On campus, there is a spacious, well-furnished central library with a considerable collection of 4000 volumes and publications. Both male and female students are housed in separate hostels with all the necessities. There is a student-run mess hall on campus that offers economical, wholesome vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals to students. A selection of beverages and snacks are available in the café. To support pupils' general development, a variety of athletic facilities are provided. Course-specific laboratories and workshops are offered for students to gain a practical grasp of the subjects. A 100-seat computer lab, a 30-seat CAD/CAM lab, a retail and visual lab, a workshop for shoes, and a workshop for clothing and fashion design are among them. The air-conditioned classrooms are equipped with LCD, O/H projectors, multimedia notebooks, speakers, cordless microphones, televisions, and video players to improve the learning experience. A state-of-the-art theatre with 300 seats, audio-video capabilities, and other contemporary conveniences are included for entertainment.

Admission Procedure

Footwear Design and Development Institute, Hyderabad offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in design and management like B. Des B.B.A, M.Des, and MBA. All candidates for undergraduate and postgraduate admissions must submit an online application for the FDDI All India Selection Test (FDDI-AIST), followed by counselling. Each and every qualified applicant would need to pass a test (Paper Based Test) given by FDDI. Only English will be used as the test's medium. A candidate for the postgraduate program must have a bachelor's degree in any field. All qualified candidates must appear at the examination centres they select for the written entrance examination in the city of their choice. The written admission exam aims to evaluate candidates' knowledge, aptitude, and suitability for the chosen program. 

Faculty

The faculty at Footwear Design and Development Institute, Hyderabad is skilled and experienced, which motivates students to achieve their best potential. In association with Academia, R & D, and practising staff, the faculty creates printed self-educational materials. Through collaboration with the faculty members on diverse real-world projects, students develop their skills and knowledge while learning essential information about design applications and market dynamics. The professors have training from some of the top fashion schools in the world as well as from FDDI, bringing to the classroom their professional skills, extensive exposure, and years of practical experience.

All Footwear Design and Development Institute campuses participate in a centralised campus placement procedure run by the FDDI, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. The Institute's students receive important career counselling and guidance from the Corporate and Public Relations Department. For internships and job placement of students across all campuses and courses, the C&PR department invites reputable national and international businesses. Scholarships

According to the procedures and qualifying requirements, students from all Footwear Design and Development Institute campuses are eligible to apply for scholarships given by government (central and state) agencies. There are no scholarships available from FDDI. FDDI processes and forwards the scholarship applications of the eligible students to the applicable agencies.
