The Footwear Design and Development Institute Chandigarh campus is committed to offering the greatest supportive environment for academic and social opportunities for students. The campus has a well-stocked library, both print and digital. The library has an air-conditioned reading room, Wi-Fi, and books, manuscripts, newspapers, and other information sources from the Fashion Design, Leather Technology, Retail, and related industries.
The FDDI Chandigarh campus hostel provides both boys and girls with a spacious, sanitary, and secure environment accommodating 60 male students and 200 female students. The rooms are well-ventilated and outfitted with fans, tube lights, and the necessary furniture. Each student has a cot, a chair, a table, and a cupboard (locker).
The Institute has an indoor sports centre with table tennis, badminton facilities, and other amenities. Additionally, the FDDI offer monthly yoga and meditation classes. The laboratories like the CAD/CAM lab and the Visual Merchandising lab, studio, and workshops like the leather goods and accessories design workshop, fashion design workshop, footwear designing and production workshop are fully furnished with machinery and tools of the highest international standards, giving the students first-hand experience with the fashion industry.
The classrooms are designed not merely to foster a learning environment, but also, in a way, to support students' thirst for information. Every classroom has air conditioning and is furnished with the most up-to-date teaching tools. The auditorium and seminar rooms, which are utilised for various formal and cultural events, are furnished with the required contemporary technology.
