XAT 2024 Application Form

The XAT 2024 application form has been made available on the official website starting on 15 July, 2023. The following procedures must be followed by the candidates while filling up the application form:

• Fill in the academic and work experience details: The candidates are required to fill in their academic qualification details with verified information along with work experiences (if applicable)

• Upload Photo, signature, and ID proof: The candidates are next required to upload the following: 

  • Photo: A recent colour, a passport-sized photo is required. The image needs to be coloured and has a light background, preferably white. There shouldn't be any reflections, red-eye, dark glasses, caps, hats, or headwear in the photo. The file size should be between 20KB and 50KB, and the dimensions should be roughly 200 by 230 pixels (recommended). 

  • Signature: A white piece of paper should be used for the scanned image of the signature, and the recommended size is 140 x 60 pixels. File sizes should range from 10 KB to 20 KB.

  • The candidates should keep in mind the following guidelines while uploading the photo and signature:

    • The scanner’s resolution should be a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per inch).

    • Crop the image in the scanner to the edge of the photograph/signature, then use the upload editor to crop the image to the final size (as specified above).

    • Set Color to True Color

    • Both the files of the photo and signature should be in .jpeg/.jpg format.

  • The following steps should be followed while uploading the photo and signature:

    • There will be separate links for uploading the documents.

    • Browse & Select the location where the Scanned Photo/ Signature file has been saved.

    • Click on the respective link to upload.

    • Select the file by clicking on it.

    • Click on the “Upload” button.

• The candidates are next required to select the  XLRI programme as per the candidates’ preference if they want to study in XLRI through XAT.

• The candidates need to select the XAT Test City preference with 2 preferred test cities while filling XAT Application form. They are advised to choose a test city closer to their city of residence. However, the final decision to allot the TEST CITY rests with the authority. (The candidates can edit their preferences only once before the last date of online registration)

• Next, the candidates need to click on the “Payment” Tab after filling out the application form. XAT Registration Fee Rs. 2000/- and candidates interested in XLRI programmes need to pay an additional fee of Rs. 200/- for each programme. Payment can be made through Debit Cards (RuPay / Visa / Master Card / Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets.

  An e-Receipt will be generated once the transaction has been successfully completed. 'E-Receipt' not being generated denotes PAYMENT FAILURE. Candidates are recommended to log in again using their registered Email ID and Password if the payment fails and to repeat the payment process. Candidates must save both the online application form and the e-Receipt. Please be aware that an online transaction might not have been successful if the same cannot be generated.

• Lastly, the candidates are required to click on the “Submit” button to submit their application form.
