IMU-CET 2024 Outcomes

Indian Maritime University (IMU) releases IMU-CET results on the official website http://imu.edu.in/ in the form of a pdf document, which can be downloaded by the candidates after entering their login credentials. Automated emails and SMS notifications will also be sent to all registered applicants for various stages of the application process, including the publication of results. IMU issues rank certificates to the qualified candidates which is important for admissions to the undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Candidates are shortlisted for online counselling based on their IMU-CET results. The online counselling process for admissions to IMU's six campuses (Navi Mumbai, Mumbai Port,  Kolkata,  Visakhapatnam, Chennai, and Kochi) will be conducted exclusively for candidates who wish to pursue their studies at these campuses. Those seeking admission to affiliated institutes of IMU or other DGS-approved Maritime Training Institutes affiliated with other universities should directly approach their preferred college or institute after obtaining a Rank Certificate issued by IMU.

The online counselling for IMU campuses will take place in two phases:

  • In Phase-I, candidates with an IMU-CET Rank Certificate will be provided with a portal to select their desired program(s) and campus(es). They will need to register on the portal and pay a non-refundable counselling fee. If a seat is allotted in any program at any campus, the counselling fee is non-refundable; otherwise, the amount will be refunded. Candidates should prioritize their preferences for programs and IMU campuses when making their selections.

  • In Phase II, seats will be provisionally allotted to candidates based on their rank, social category, and seat availability from the options they have chosen. After the online counselling, candidates who receive seat allotments must confirm their seats within the specified time frame by paying the program fees through the portal.

Following the final seat allotment, candidates must appear before the Director of the allotted campus for verification of their original certificates and a medical certificate, as per the dates mentioned in the Allotment Letter.

After successfully completing the IMU-CET, candidates are eligible for admission to the different undergraduate and graduate programs provided by IMU and its affiliated institutions throughout India. The IMU-CET is a key step for aspiring students who wish to pursue a career in the maritime industry.
