NEET-PG 2024: Application Procedure, Exam Date, Syllabus, Eligibility, Pattern, and Admit Card

Eligibility Criterion for NEET-PG 2024

Individuals who have completed their MBBS degree or have a Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized under the NMC Act, 2019 and the repealed Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, along with a permanent or provisional registration certificate issued by the NMC (National Medical Commission) or the previous Medical Council of India or State Medical Council, and have finished or are expected to complete one year of internship by 31 March 2023, are eligible to apply for NEET-PG 2024. They can submit their applications through the online application system available at the websites https://nbe.edu.in or https://natboard.edu.in. If a candidate is found to be ineligible at any point during NEET-PG 2024, they will not be allowed to participate in the examination or counselling. In the rare situation where an ineligible candidate manages to appear and succeed in NEET-PG 2024, their results and candidacy will be invalidated or considered cancelled.

Any requests for participation in NEET-PG 2024 from candidates who will complete their internship by current academic year, or hold qualifications that are not recognized according to the NMC Act, 2019, and the repealed IMC Act, 1956, will be promptly rejected. Candidates are also advised against advocating for such requests.

The dates provided by candidates in the application form, indicating the start and end dates of their 12-month Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship, will be considered as the final dates. Candidates will need to submit the original certificate of completion for the internship during the counselling or admission process at the assigned Medical College or Institute.

Candidates must provide documentary proof of their registration with the NMC (National Medical Commission), the previous Medical Council of India, or the State Medical Council on the day of the examination as well as during the counselling or admission process.

Candidates should be aware that merely appearing in NEET-PG does not guarantee automatic rights to secure a postgraduate MD/MS/Post Graduate Diploma seat. The selection and admission to postgraduate seats in medical institutions recognized for offering these courses, in accordance with the National Medical Commission (NMC) Act, 2019 and the repealed Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, are subject to fulfilling various criteria. These criteria include admission requirements, eligibility, medical fitness, and any additional criteria prescribed by the respective universities, medical institutions, the NMC, and the State/Central Government.
