About MET 2024

Manipal Entrance Test (MET) is an online examination conducted by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) for providing candidates with admission opportunities in various courses taught at Manipal University. Manipal Entrance Test (MET), previously known as Manipal University Online Entrance Exam (MU-OET), is a gateway to admission into various UG and PG courses such as BBA, B.Pharm, B.A, B.Tech, M.Tech, M.E, M.Pharm, M.Sc and many more. 

MET 2024 is a 2-hour duration exam where candidates are tested across 4 sections namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. 

The procedure to reserve slots at MET 2024 will be conducted by the authorities online. Candidates must sign in with their application number and password in order to reserve a spot. It should be remembered that the MET 2024 slot booking will be based on availability and will follow the principle of first come, first served. The two MET 2024 tries will each have their own slot reserved. Candidates who signed up for the first try are entitled to schedule a place for the subsequent attempt. MET 2024 Important Dates

The examination dates for MET 2024 have already been released by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). Candidates can find the information on the official website. 

MET 2024 will be held as a computer-based test (online mode) in two different attempts for undergraduate programmes; 1st attempt (TBD) and 2nd attempt (TBD). The table below shows important dates and events related to undergraduate programme admissions.

MET 2024 Application Procedure

The application form for MET 2024 is now available at https://manipal.edu/. The last date for submission of the application form was on 15 March 2024.

The application process comprises of:

• Candidates registering themselves

• Verifying the email/OTP

• Online filling up of the application form

• Uploading the required documents

• Paying the application fee

The following points illustrate the MET 2024 application procedure in detail:

• Registration - The first step of the application procedure begins with the online registration of candidates at the official website of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). During this procedure, candidates will be required to provide basic details such as phone number, and email id which the candidates will be required to verify. 

• Application form filling up - Once the candidates have registered themselves, they are required to fill up the application. The following details are required in the application form -

  • Candidate’s name

  • Gender

  • Date of Birth

  • Nationality

  • Parent/ Guardian’s name

  • Address for correspondence

• Uploading documents -  Candidates are required to provide certificates/ documents of their current institution information, school name, qualifying examination, board, year of passing, etc. Candidates are also required to upload their recent passport-sized photograph in JPEG format and 4.5*3.5 cm dimensions. The examinee’s signature should be made on white paper. Both files should be less than 300KB in size. 

• Selecting a program and paying the application fee -  Once the candidates provide their educational qualifications and institutional information, candidates must fill out the following information for course selection: program, stream, course, and examination centre city. 

The Application fee is Rs 600 and the Entrance Test fee is Rs 1400. Payment can be made via debit/credit card and net banking. Candidates wishing to make the payment through Demand Draft must do it in favour of “Manipal Academy of Higher Education.” Those candidates who opt for payment through DD must send the print copy of the filled-up application form along with the Demand Draft to the address mentioned below -

MET 2024 Eligibility

Undergraduate Programmes

Engineering (B.Tech)

• Candidates must pass 10+2 from a recognized board

• They must have studied PCM/ PCB subjects depending upon the course of study

Business Administration (BBA)

•  Pass in 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board, with minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent

Nursing (B.Sc)

• Pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English from a recognized Board, with minimum 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology

Life Science (B.Sc Biotechnology)

• Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with Biology, Chemistry, English and Physics / Biotechnology / Mathematics / any other Life Sciences subject as an optional subject, from a recognized Board with minimum 55% aggregate marks or equivalent, taken together in Biology, Chemistry and Physics / Biotechnology / Mathematics / any other Life Sciences subject

Allied Health Science (BASLP)

• Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and English with Biology / Mathematics / Computer Science / Statistics / Electronics / Psychology from a recognized Board, with minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent in PCB / PCM / PCO* * O – Computer Science / Statistics / Electronics /Psychology.

• Applicants shall NOT be older than 25 years on the 01 July of the year of admission.

Allied Health Science (B. Optom, B.Sc)

• Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and English with Biology / Mathematics from a recognized Board, with minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent in PCB / PCM.

Allied Health Science (Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Physiotherapy)

• Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with English from a recognized Board, with minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent in PCB

Allied Health Science (Bachelor of Pharmacy)

• Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, English with Biology / Mathematics as optional subjects from a recognized Board

Mass Communication (B.A Media and Communication)

• Pass in 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board, with minimum 45% aggregate marks or equivalent

Postgraduate Programmes

Engineering (M.Tech/ M.E)

• Pass in BE / BTech in a relevant branch from a recognized University, with minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent

• For M.Tech admissions, weightage will be given to GATE-qualified candidates

Media and Communication (M.A- Film Art and Film Making, M.A Media and Communication, PGD Corporate Communications)

• Pass with a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University, with minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent

Allied Health Science (M.Pharm, PharmD Post Baccalaureate)

• Pass in BPharm from a university recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), with minimum 55% aggregate marks or equivalent

• Candidate should have obtained registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of admission

Data Science (M.Sc)

• Pass in BCA / BSc (Statistics / Mathematics / Computer Science / Information Technology) / BE or BTech or any other graduation from a recognized University with 60% aggregate marks or equivalent with minimum 2 years learning of Mathematics / Statistics with basic software programming skills

• Applicants are expected to complete all the academic requirements (Classes, Examinations, and other assessments) of their Under Graduate programs on or before 31 July of the year of Admission)

Medicine (M.Sc Clinical Embryology, M.Sc Reproductive and Developmental Biology)

• Pass in BSc with Reproduction / Zoology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Bioscience / Physiology as one of the subjects from a recognized University, with minimum 60% aggregate marks or equivalent.

Medicine (M.Sc Medical)

• Pass in BSc (with at least one subject of Biological Sciences) / BSc Nursing / BSc in Allied Health Sciences / BAMS / MBBS / BHMS / BPT / BPharm from a recognized University with minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent. 

Allied Health Science (M.Sc Audiology, M.Sc Speech Language Pathology)

• Pass in BASLP / BSc (Speech & Hearing) / BSLH from any university recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), with minimum 55% aggregate marks or equivalent.

• Applicants shall not be older than 30 years on 01 July of the admission year.

Allied Health Science (MPT)

• Pass in BPT from a recognized University, with minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent.

• Candidate MUST have completed their internship before class commencement.

Life Science (M.Sc)

• Pass in BSc (Botany / Zoology / Biotechnology / Food Science / Nutrition / Agricultural Sciences or any other branches of Life Sciences) / MBBS/ BDS / BPharm / PharmD / BVSc / BAMS / BHMS / BE or BTech (Biotechnology / Biomedical) from a recognized University, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent.

MET 2024 Examination Pattern

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has released the MET 2024 exam pattern on the official website (manipal.edu) which the candidates can check and get a clear idea of how MET 2024 will be conducted. This will help students to get a better picture of the examination and how to make the necessary preparation. The examination pattern gives students salient information regarding the type of questions, marking scheme, examination mode., duration, etc.

MET 2024 Results

The results for MET 2024 will be soon released by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) on their official website. The results can be downloaded by the candidates using their registered mobile numbers. Candidates must check in with their username and password in order to download the MET 2024 Score Card. However, the counselling and seat allocation procedures will make use of the MET 2024 rank list. Candidates who pass the tests are entitled to apply for admission to MAHE and the affiliated institutions in MET 2024.

• Visiting MAHE’s official website (manipal.edu)

• The website will show the link to the scorecard which the candidates need to click

• After that, candidates must enter the application number and OTBS password

• Candidates must proceed by clicking on the login button

• MET 2024 scorecard will appear on the screen which the candidates can download

• Candidates must visit MAHE’S official website

• The homepage shows the rank list link which the candidates must click on

• Upon entering the application number, the candidate’s rank will appear on the screen.
