About JET 2024
The Film & Television Institute of India in Pune (FTII) and the Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute in Kolkata (SRFTI) are prominent institutions for learning the skills of filmmaking and television production. To gain admission to the postgraduate degrees of these institutions, candidates must undergo a comprehensive selection procedure known as the Joint Entrance Test (JET), which encompasses multiple stages, including a Written Test, Audition (for screen Acting), Orientation, and Interview.
The Written Test is of three hours and includes a mix of objective and subjective questions. JET is held in 28 different cities across India. Candidates' performance in the Written Test determines their eligibility to proceed to the subsequent stages of the selection process, which include Audition (for Screen Acting), Orientation, and Interview. JET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The Film & Television Institute of India in Pune and Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute in Kolkata determines the eligibility requirements for JET. The basic eligibility requires the candidates to have have a bachelor’s or equivalent degree from a recognized university with qualifying marks. Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree and awaiting results, can also apply.
JET 2024 Examination Pattern
The JET examination is held once a year in a traditional pen-and-paper format. The paper is divided into two parts: Paper I and Paper II. Paper I consists of objective-type questions, while Paper II involves descriptive questions. In this exam, candidates are required to answer all the questions within a three-hour time frame. The question paper carries a maximum total of 100 marks.
JET 2024 Results
