AIIMS, Delhi, handles the registration process for AIIMS Exam for BSc and MSc 2023. The commencement of the application process follows the official notification issued by the examination authority. The initial phase of the application involves basic registration. Subsequently, the examination body will update the status of application acceptance or rejection on the official website. Only candidates whose AIIMS BSc/MSc applications are accepted will have the opportunity to amend their application forms.

 

AIIMS Exam for BSc and MSc 2023 Application Process

 

The AIIMS Exam for BSc and MSc courses 2023 application process consists of two stages. It is imperative for candidates to complete both stages; otherwise, their applications may face rejection. The AIIMS Exam 2023 application process utilizes the newly introduced Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR) system.

The Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR) application process for AIIMS Exam 2023 involves the following two stages:

  • Stage 1: Basic Registration: The initial stage requires candidates to furnish their personal information, including their name, date of birth, email address (for communication purposes), mobile number (for SMS communication of information and codes), along with scanned passport-size photographs and scanned images of their signature and thumb impression. Following the completion of Basic Registration, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences will provide candidates with a registration ID and password, which should be securely retained for future reference.

  • Stage 2: Final Registration: Upon successful submission of the basic registration, candidates whose applications are accepted will receive a registration ID and password. AIIMS mandates that candidates cannot proceed with the final registration without generating the code and making the necessary application fee payment. In the final registration phase, candidates are required to provide their academic details and select their preferred examination center city.

 

AIIMS Exam 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for various AIIMS BSc and MSc courses are as follows:

B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing,  Bachelor in Optometry, Bachelor of Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology, B.Sc. Dental Hygiene, B.Sc. Dental Operating Room Assistant, and B.Sc. Operation Theatre Technology 

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

  • The age requirement is a minimum of 17 years as of December 31, 2023. (Candidates born on or after January 2, 2007, are not eligible.)

  • The candidate should have passed the 12th class under the 10+2 scheme/Senior School Certificate Examination or an equivalent examination from a recognized University/Board of any Indian State with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

  • For specific courses like Bachelor of Optometry, Bachelor of Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology, B.Sc. in Dental Operating Room Assistant, B.Sc. in Dental Hygiene, and B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology, the candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and either Biology or Mathematics 

  • The minimum aggregate marks required in the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) are as follows:

  • For B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing: 55% for Gen in aggregate in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

  • For AIIMS New Delhi: 50% for Gen in aggregate in English, Physics, Chemistry, and either Biology OR Mathematics

B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT),  B.Sc. in Operation Theatre & Anaesthesiology,  B.Sc. in Medical Technology in Radiography (MTR), Medical Technology in Radiotherapy (M.T.RT), Bachelor of Optometry, B.Sc. in Urology Technology, B.Sc. Radiotherapy Technology, B.Sc. Sleep Technology, B.Sc. in Respiratory Therapy, B.Sc. in Neuro-monitoring Technology, B.Sc. in Orthopaedics Technology, B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology, and B.Sc. in Medical Radiology & Imaging Technology

  • The candidate should have a minimum of 50% in 10+2  for Gen in aggregate in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

B.Sc. Lab Technology and Emergency Medicine Technician

  • The candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks for Gen in the PCB group.

B.Sc. Medical Technology Dialysis Therapy Technology (MDTT), B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology (MRIT), and B.Sc. in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP)

  • The candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 50% for Gen in aggregate. Specific subject requirements apply.

B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic)

  • Candidates should have passed 12th class, hold a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, and be registered as a nurse, RN, RM (registered nurse, registered midwife) with any State Nursing council.

  • Male nurses should have obtained a certificate in General Nursing and have completed training in a specific subject for a period of six months.

Postgraduate Courses 

M.Sc./M. Biotechnology 

 

  • Candidates must have one of the following qualifications and have secured at least 60% marks for General in the qualifying examination:

  • (a) MBBS/BDS (55% for Gen) 

  • (b) B.V. Sc.

  • (c) B. Pharmacy

  • (d) Bachelor of Physiotherapy (4½ year course)

  • (e) B.Sc. degree of minimum three years' duration in any subject.

(Note: Candidates with degrees other than those mentioned above are not eligible)

M.Sc. Nursing

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic / B.Sc. Nursing (4 years) course from any recognized University, from an educational institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, with 60% marks for Gen candidates.

  • Registration as Nurse, RN, RM (Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife) with any State Nursing Council.

  • All M.Sc. Nursing candidates must submit a certificate of Registration as a Nurse and Midwife from the Indian Nursing Council / State Nursing Council at the time of Seat Allocation/joining if they are selected.

 

AIIMS Exam 2023 Syllabus

 

AIIMS Delhi does not prescribe a specific syllabus for its entrance examinations. In the case of the BSc exam, the standard is generally based on the curriculum of the 12th class as per the 10+2 scheme or an equivalent examination conducted by an Indian University/Board.

Typically, the syllabus for the AIIMS B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing Exam includes questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and General Knowledge. For B.Sc. (Paramedical) courses, the syllabus covers subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics, with candidates having the option to choose either the biology or mathematics part.

Regarding the syllabus for B.Sc.
