DU, Dibrugarh lies five kilometres south of the Dibrugarh town in Rajabheta and is well connected by road, rail, air, and waterways. DU, Dibrugarh is located on a 550-acre campus that sprawls out across a beautiful, rural landscape. Dibrugarh, one of North East India's economic and industrial centres, holds a special place in the fields of literature, art, and culture. It is well-known around the world for being a wealthy tea-producing region and is also well known for having an abundant supply of minerals like coal, oil, and natural gas.

DU, Dibrugarh boasts top-notch facilities for using the potential and interests of young people. The Lakshminath Bezbaroa Library, the Central Library of DU, Dibrugarh, is the key information and knowledge hub and provides extensive user services, including access to books, journals, theses and dissertations, reports and surveys covering a wide range of subjects and fields of human endeavor. Along with many additional collections, the Library's collections total over 2,25,000 print and non-print items and provide online access to over 10,000 e-journals and over 7,000 e-books.

DU, Dibrugarh has given the necessary infrastructure, including enough lecture halls and classrooms, as well as laboratories and other amenities. The university has equipped the departments and centres with cutting-edge tools, including computer labs with Internet access for staff members and an Internet Center for students and researchers. The university campus has two auditoriums. One is the open-air Bishnu Rabha Rangamacha auditorium, which has 3500 square metres in size and a capacity of 953 people.

DU, Dibrugarh has equipment for a range of indoor and outdoor sports. The infrastructure includes a multipurpose playground, an indoor stadium, a gymnasium, a volleyball court, a tennis court made of cement, a 400-meter standard 8-lane track, a basketball court made of cement, etc.

The additional infrastructure includes a dorm for students, apartments, a market complex, an ATM, a post office, a bank, a centre for students' activities, a cafeteria, a health centre, playgrounds, and an educational and recreational park in addition to high-speed NKN internet connectivity. DU, Dibrugarh also maintains a tea garden on 60 acres of land in the original location of Rajabhata Tea Estate.
