CVA Kolkata was established in 1999 and is affiliated with Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh.

Under the affiliation of the University of Calcutta, CVA Kolkata offers a four-year integrated graduate degree course (BFA or Bachelor of Fine Arts).
