Calcutta Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology and Allied Health Sciences (CIPTAAHS), Howrah was established in 2002 with the aim of catering to local students with quality education and training in pharmacy and related fields. Situated on a sprawling lush green campus near National Highway-6, the Institute is well connected by roads and railways, with Uluberia Railway Station being 2kms away from the Campus. CIPTAAHS Howrah is affiliated to Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), and the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development (WBSCTVE&SD).
CIPTAAHS Howrah offers 1 undergraduate (B.Pharm), 3 postgraduate (M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Biotechnology), and 1 diploma (D.Pharm) course. The courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The students of CIPTAAHS Howrah, are provided well-furnished hostel accommodation, with separate provisions being present for male and female students. The canteen at CIPT&AHS provides hygienic food and beverage at nominal prices. The sports facilities of CIPTAAHS Howrah include infrastructure for indoor and outdoor games like football, cricket, table tennis, carrom and chess, for the physical and mental fitness of the students.
The students at CIPTAAHS Howrah are taught in spacious and airy classrooms which are fully equipped with modern facilities. The practical knowledge of the students is honed in several departmental laboratories. Apart from these, a Computer Centre with high-speed internet is available for students to access for internet surfing, printing, scanning, etc. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. CIPTAAHS Howrah provides first aid and medical facilities to the students, along with ambulance services in cases of emergency. Hospitals are present within 1KM radius of CIPTAAHS Howrah and can be accessed in times of medical emergencies. CIPTAAHS Howrah also has transport facilities from Kolkata and Uluberia Railway Station. Banking and ATM facilities are present within the Campus for the students and staff to avail.
