BBIT Kolkata offers a host of undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and diploma (DIP) courses in Technical and Management disciplines. Applications for admission can be submitted by students online via the official website of BBIT Kolkata. There are 8 UG courses, all of them B.Tech, in the following disciplines: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science and Engineering in Artificial Intelligence, and Computer Science and Engineering in Cyber Security. Students can also opt for polytechnic (DIP) courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, and Computer Science and Technology. Among the PG courses in BBIT Kolkata, 2 are of Technical discipline: M.Tech in Power Systems under the Department of Electrical Engineering, and in Computer Science and Engineering; and 7 of Management: MBA in Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Business Analytics, Operations, Healthcare, and Systems.

The Training and Placement Cell of BBIT Kolkata organises regular seminars and workshops, and arranges summer projects and internships for students to increase their industry exposure. Regular campus placement drives organised by the Cell have resulted in the recruitment of 80% of students by organisations such as CESC, WBSEDCL, BSNL, KMDA, Gammon India, etc., with packages going as high as 22 LPA. BBIT Kolkata has outstanding faculty with ties to premier Institutions like IITs and NITs, and maintains the AICTE stipulated faculty-student ratio of 1:15. Students can benefit from multiple government scholarship schemes recognised by the Institute like Kanyashree, Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship, OASIS, Ishan Uday Scheme, etc.

BBIT Kolkata maintains the best available infrastructure to support the students. There are over 50 well-equipped modern laboratories on campus, and a well-furnished library. The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled, with a modern cafeteria, bank and ATM facility, separate hostels for boys and girls, and a healthcare facility for students and staff. BBIT Kolkata has excellent sports facilities, looked after by the Sports Committee. Admission Procedure

Candidates who want to apply to Budge Budge Institute of Technology, Kolkata can do so online by registering through their official website. For admission to the B.Tech courses, candidates should pass 10+2 level examinations with atleast 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates can qualify either the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) or the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Main) and go through the corresponding counselling process to become eligible for admission. Candidates who have a diploma course in Engineering/Technology from an AICTE-approved institution with atleast 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category students) are also eligible for admission to B.Tech courses in BBIT Kolkata.

Candidates can qualify for Polytechnic programmes at BBIT Kolkata by passing the Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics (JEXPO) and obtaining atleast 35% marks in aggregate in the 10th standard examination from any recognised board. 

Candidate who want to admit PG courses (M.Tech, MBA) with various stream complete their bachelor's degree from a recognised university with required marks.

Budge Budge Institute of Technology, Kolkata has a well-organised Training and Placement Cell that handles all aspects of placements of the students. The Training and Placement Cell conducts seminars and workshops on a regular basis, providing students an opportunity to interact with industry professionals. The Cell also takes part in organising summer trainings and internships during the vacations, partnering with reputed organisations like CESC, WBSEDCL, WBPDCL, BSNL, Airport Authority of India, Simplex, KMDA, TATA Chemcals, Gammon India, etc. Pre-placement training for the students of BBIT Kolkata is also conducted by the Cell, which includes soft skills, general aptitude, resume preparation, personality development and moch group discussions and interviews.
