Birla Institute of Science & Technology, Pilani is a fully residential institute with hostel accommodations for all students. There are eleven boys' hostels and one girls' hostel complex. The dormitory rooms are completely furnished. In every hostel, there are common rooms with cable TV and phones. Every room at the hostel has access to the internet. Solar water heating systems are available in all hostels. Each hostel also contains equipment for games including chess, carom, badminton, volleyball, and table tennis. Each set of two boys' hostels has a common kitchen and mess unit. The girls' hostel, on the other hand, has a unique mess that is located inside the hostel's perimeter.

The BITS Pilani Sports Club organizes various activities and sports. Football, hockey, cricket, basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, table tennis, athletics, gymnastics, health club, swimming, water polo, weight lifting, etc. are among the sports and games that are available on campus. The health club has a floor for aerobic exercise as well as cutting-edge weight-training equipment. A 25 x 12.5 m swimming pool offers space for water polo, racing, and swimming instruction. Students who pay the required fees can join the swimming club or health club.

The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled, with spacious classrooms, a 24x7 cafeteria serving both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items, and well-equipped auditoriums for various events.

The BITS Pilani campus is making steady progress toward sustainability in terms of its use of water, power, and other natural resources. Battery-powered cars have been introduced on campus, and students are encouraged to ride bicycles for intra-campus commutes.
