Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani) has been declared as an "Institution of Eminence" by the Central Government in 2018. It has campuses in Goa, Hyderabad, and Mumbai in India and an offshore campus in Dubai. An alliance has been formed between RMIT University in Australia and BITS Pilani, an esteemed Indian institution, to establish the BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy. International collaborative degree programs are available through the BITS-RMIT Academy. Students enrolled in a four-year collaborative "dual degree" program will spend two of those years—along with a summer term—at BITS Pilani campuses. The final two years of their program, or years three and four, will be spent at RMIT campuses in Australia.
BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus is located in the Vidya Vihar Campus at the outskirts of Pilani town in Jhunjhunu district, in Rajasthan. The 240 acres of BITS Pilani Campus have neatly laid out roads, lawns, and gardens and it houses Institute buildings, hostels, and residential quarters for the staff. The buildings at BITS Pilani are entirely residential, with 11 hostels for boys and one for ladies. A spectacular library building with a floor space of 65,000 square feet and a substantial collection of around 2,30,000 books and manuscripts is another highlight of the BITS Pilani campus. Being a centre of intellectual strength, BITS Pilani has been successful in obtaining significant research funding from both public and private sources. All the BITS Pilani campuses operate on a fully automated library system with adequate application of RFID technology, interactive library portal, library apps, off-campus access, etc. Creative spaces like BITS Heritage Gallery, GD Birla Rare books, Research Zone, Ideation/Writing Zone, MakerSpace, 3D Printer, HPC, etc are very popular among students and research scholars. Students also have access to well-equipped laboratories to facilitate research work, air-conditioned smart classrooms, a spacious auditorium, and high-speed internet on campus. Beyond academics, there are separate boys and girls hostels for accommodation on campus, a sports complex, a fully-furnished gym with trainers, 24x7 medical facilities, and a cafeteria serving fresh and hygienic meals.
BITS Pilani offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in sciences, engineering, humanities, and management. Admission to BITS Pilani is highly sought after as seats are limited. The undergraduate courses offered by BITS Pilani are Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering; as well as a B.Pharm in Pharmacy. The integrated first-degree courses in Mathematics, Physics, Bio-Sciences, and Economics are also quite popular. Being part of a Deemed-to-be University, all BITS, Pilani campuses confer their own degrees autonomously. The Pilani Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Society (PIEDS), a BITS Pilani technology business incubator, will have its headquarters at RKIC. Corporate Social Responsibility money and gifts from BITS alumni were used exclusively to construct Rakesh Kapoor Innovation Centre (RKIC). On October 8, 2023, in front of benefactors and BITS administration, the RKIC," a three-story, 50,000 square foot facility designated solely for usage by students and faculty entrepreneurs, was opened. The Pilani Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Society (PIEDS), a BITS Pilani technology business incubator, will have its headquarters at RKIC.
BITS, Pilani is further renowned for its stellar faculty and the quality of technical education. BITS Pilani conducts online college admission. To be eligible at the undergraduate level, candidates must clear their 10+2 school leaving examinations and the BITSAT entrance tests, which are conducted online. Admission is granted on the basis of merit and BIITSAT scores. BITS, Pilani, across all campuses, has a number of scholarships and endowments available for deserving students that are awarded on merit basis. BITS Pilani has experienced faculty members with most having Ph.D degrees from renowned national and international institutes. Admission Procedure
The Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani conducts admissions online for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) is conducted online by the Institute for admissions to undergraduate engineering courses (BE). Admission will be based solely on academic merit for the other undergraduate courses like B.Pharm. The merit position of an applicant for admission will be determined by the candidate's BITSAT score. Separate admission tests, interviews, and GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) scores are considered for admission to Higher Degree and PhD programmes.
Candidates for the M. pharm programme must pass the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT). On their official website, interested candidates can apply.

Placements
Every semester, about 600 students from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani campuses apply for placements; of these, almost 100% get recruited. Most businesses send out recruitment teams twice a year to meet with the entire graduating batch of students. Recruiters get access to sufficient facilities for Pre-Placement talks (PPT), aptitude tests, Group Discussions, Interviews, and other placement activities. The smooth operation of the Campus Placements is ensured by a committed group of committee volunteers. From all 4 of the BITS Pilani campuses, candidates for recruitment in various degree programmes, including the Integrated First Degree and Higher Degrees, are available from January through April. Scholarships are available based on merit. The integrated program offers students scholarships under the BITS Pilani's merit and merit-cum award schemes. These scholarships help by assisting the students to cover their tuition fees. The scholarships include - Government of India National Scholarships, Merit Scholarships, Merit-cum-need Scholarships, and Need-cum-Merit Scholarships, Financial Assistance from BITS Alumni, Aditya Birla Scholarship, and many more.
