Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, Mumbai (unaided wing) or SPIT Mumbai formerly known as Sardar Patel College of Engineering, is one of the most renowned self- financed autonomous Engineering Colleges of Mumbai that was inaugurated on 19th August 1962. SPIT Mumbai was renovated in a new building and initiated functioning under the affiliation of Mumbai University in the year 2005.
Self-financed engineering courses first introduced to the university, including Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Courses, and Masters courses in Electronics in 1995. These received quite a lot of attention and added a good reputation to the institution. Located at Munshi Nagar, Andheri, one of the outskirts of Mumbai. SPIT Mumbai is noticeable with respect to its growth and development. SPIT Mumbai sets its goal to attain the pinnacle of brilliance while maintaining integrity and adhering to a set of moral principles.
SPIT Mumbai offers quality education with globally competent curriculums through various mainstream Engineering courses alongside PhD and Diploma courses. UG level courses read, B.Tech. Computer Engineering , B.Tech. Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, B.Tech. Computer Science And Engineering (Artificial Intelligence And Machine Learning), B.Tech. Computer Science And Engineering (Data Science). The PG courses of the university are Master of Computer Applications (MCA) M.Tech. (Electronics & Telecommunication), M.Tech. (Computer Engineering). The PhD degrees offered by the university are PhD in Electronics and Telecommunication, PhD Computer Engineering, Ph.D Electronics Engineering, Ph.D Master of Computer Applications. Besides the conventional courses the university also offers a PGD- UE post graduate diploma course in User Experience.

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan`s Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, MumbaI (SPITM) offers Undergraduate and Post Graduate (PG) courses under the faculty of Bachelor of Technology (BTech) and Master of Technology (MTech) respectively.. Applicants applying for UG courses to SPITM must have passed Higher Secondary Examination with concerned subjects. Aspiring UG applicants must appear for the Common Entrance Examination (CET) and selection of applicants are done based on their acheived ranks. PG applicants to SPITM must have secured Bachelors Degree from any recognized university with concerned subjetcs and departments.
