Bankura Unnayani Institute of Engineering, Bankura (BUIEB), is a private engineering institution affiliated with the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), West Bengal. BUIE Bankura was instituted in 1998 by a social workers group dedicated to producing high-quality academic and practising professionals and came to be the first engineering college in Bankura. Bankura Unnayani Institute of Engineering, Bankura is an engineering degree institute funded by Phase II of TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme).

Bankura Unnayani Institute of Engineering, Bankura has 10 academic departments and offers BCA and B.Tech in seven specialisations under undergraduate courses and M.Tech in two specialisations under postgraduate courses. Admission into BUIE Bankura’s engineering and technology degree programmes is conducted through a single-window selection process. Applicants have to fulfil the eligibility criteria of passing their 10+2 examinations from a recognised board in the relevant stream and must appear for and secure a valid score/rank in either the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) or the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).

Admission Procedure

A single window selection process is initiated for the students to apply for admission into engineering and technology degree programs at Bankura Unnayani Institute of Engineering, Bankura.

The students applying for the undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), are required to have qualifying marks in their 10+2 examination and qualifying marks in any of the entrance exam among Joint Entrance Examination-Main (JEE-Main) or West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE).

BUIE Bankura also provides a master's degree programme of Master of Technology (M.Tech) with various specializations. The students are required to have a bachelor's degree in relevant field and must qualify for an entrance examination of Graduate Aptitude Test of Engineering (GATE) with qualifying marks.
