Bankura Christian College, Bankura (BCC), is situated on a sprawling campus in the Bankura district of West Bengal. BCC Bankura students with extraordinary infrastructural facilities from virtual classrooms to well-equipped laboratories.
The Wesleyan Block's 2200-square-foot central library houses a collection of more than 65,000 volumes, some of which are extremely rare and useful and no longer in print. The library offers access to Inflibnet and provides subscriptions to 31 scholarly journals. The library reading room spans an area of 960 square feet, providing a sufficient area for both students and teachers to read comfortably. In addition to the Central Library, the department of English (UG & PG) as well as all the science departments have their departmental libraries that are stocked with an adequate collection of print and electronic books and journals. The library's salient feature is its Web-OPAC searching capability. INFLIBNET-NLIST also provides access to e-books and e-journals in the digital section of the library. The British Council Library is a member institution of the library.
BCC Bankura houses large and open hallways and plenty of spacious classrooms that can hold a large number of pupils. Several classrooms are equipped with internet-capable sound systems, smart boards, and projectors for assistance. A virtual classroom was built in 2017 with cutting-edge technology like cameras, whiteboards with interactive gadgets, public address systems, high-end short-throw DLP projectors, amplifiers, desktop computers, and Netgear Wi-Fi with HDMI Dongle. Virtual classrooms are also equipped with facilities to interact with the recording system via audio and video systems. The campus provides photocopying and printing resources, high-speed Wi-Fi facilities, and wireless access points across campus which can be used to access various electronic study resources. The installation of Wi-Fi on the BCCB campus marks a significant turning point in college history in paving the path towards a paperless system of governance and operation.
BCC Bankura houses a spacious seminar hall and state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. Bankura Christian College houses various course-specific laboratories and a computer-cum-language lab equipped with production-grade modern machinery and equipment. The well-equipped labs and workshops give students a hands-on experience in operation and maintenance and prepare them for the professional workplace.
Sports facilities in BCC Bankura include three large playgrounds on campus for sports like football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, and badminton. BCC Bankura campus houses an eight-station gymnasium that students utilize for physical activity. There are different practice schedules for male and female pupils. There are also spacious and well-lit common rooms for boys and girls which provide a variety of indoor game facilities for chess, table tennis, and carrom. A 1400-square-foot indoor sports complex features unique equipment for games like badminton and table tennis and hosts a variety of events across different levels.
BCC Bankura houses two well-equipped hostels each for boys and girls with well-stocked accommodation facilities. The college also has a free health centre offering students free medical check-ups every Friday and Tuesday from 2.30 to 4.00 pm. There are two separate canteens are on campus serving hygienic and nutritious food.
