Bangalore University is home to academic excellence and is co-ed. BU Library helps the students in their studies and in making effective use of their knowledge by providing library services. There is a collection of around 58,000 books and several bound volumes and over 30000 e-books. The library assists students with locating, selecting, and obtaining the information that they require. Thousands of plants were planted throughout the library to create a Green Library Learning Environment.

There are separate hostels for students. There are six hostels for boys and one hostel for girls. The hostels are fully furnished and equipped with modern facilities.

Students have access to several indoor and outdoor gaming facilities. BU has resources to support student athletes. Two separate Centers, one at Jnana Bharathi Campus and the other at Central College, have housed BU. In addition to an indoor stadium that meets the demands of students for table tennis, badminton, and fitness centre. The Jnanabharathi has campus amenities for athletics, swimming, hockey, football, volleyball, cricket and many more. In addition to these amenities, BU rewards students with cash prizes and gold medals to encourage them.

The canteen serves subsidized meals to students.

On the Jnana Bharathi and Central College campuses, there are BU Health Centers in operation. BU is run by two senior physicians with the assistance of support workers and provides basic medical care for BU staff and students. Technicians that can take ECGs, distribute medications, and use glucometers to measure blood sugar support the Health Center. Additionally, the Health Center has seasoned staff nurses who take care of patients in an emergency.

Each department has its own laboratory and is fully furnished. Bangalore University has a Civil Engineering Lab, Chemistry Lab, Computer Lab, Electrical Lab, Mechanical Lab, Electronics Labs, DBMS Lab, Data Structure Lab, and VLSI Lab.

The BU campus is Wi-Fi enabled and the classrooms are equipped with the latest microphones, speakers, projectors, and smartboards.

With facilities like Moot Courts, BU helps students in participating and engaging in various activities. There are many halls and an auditorium on the campus. There are 1000 seats in the auditorium. There are 40 seats available in the boardroom. There are 150, 200, and 200 seats available in the seminar hall, senate hall, and UVCE senate hall, respectively.

To provide healthy and nutritious food, BU offers a cafeteria.
