Bangalore University (BU), located in the IT Capital of India, Bengaluru, was established in July 1964 and introduced undergraduate honour courses in the year 1965-66. Bangalore University has celebrated 58 years of successful existence and is now recognised as one of Asia's largest universities.

Scholarships are offered by the Government to students who are meritorious and the Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) cell in the university helps students belonging to the communities.
A centralized placement cell operates at BU. Students can receive training and internships through the cell and get opportunities to work at companies like Amazon, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and others.

Admission Procedure
Bangalore University conducts an online admision procedure. The students (co-ed) are required to have pass marks in their higher secondary examinations from a recognized board for applying in the courses like B.A and B.Sc with multiple specialisations, BSW, BFA, BASLP, BLIS, BBA, BCA, B.Com, LL.B, B.A LL.B, B.P.ED. For applying in B.Tech and B.Arch courses, the candidates are required to Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET). The final admissions are provided on the basis of merits.
