Established in 1916 in south Kolkata, Asutosh College, Kolkata (AC Kolkata) is a landmark educational institution in the city. For the scores of students who have passed through their hallowed halls, AC Kolkata has offered a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and certificate and diploma courses. The undergraduate courses that AC Kolkata offers at the moment are Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.).
AC Kolkata is affiliated to the University of Calcutta and also recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Courses offered by AC Kolkata are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Department of Electronics and Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC). Admission Procedure
Asutosh College, Kolkata conducts both online and offline admissions procedures for students. To apply for undergraduate degrees, candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination are eligible to seek admission to Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) degrees.
To determine eligibility for admission to the B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Voc. courses, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. AC Kolkata also offers Master of Science (M.Sc) and Master of Arts (M.A) programme with various specialisations. For M.A and M.Sc. degree candidates must complete graduation in the relevant field from a recognized university. Interested candidates must visit the official website.
Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Vocational Examination conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education and Training shall be eligible to seek admission to the B.Voc. degree under the Humanities Division only. However, no candidate shall be allowed admission after a lapse of more than 5 years. Students who have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination or its equivalent from the All India Boards / Councils (i.e. CBSE, ISC and National Institute of Open Schooling) need not require to submit Migration Certificate for getting Registration under the University of Calcutta.
Faculty
Asutosh College, Kolkata has a reputation for having outstanding teaching and non-teaching faculty, which it continues to uphold. AC Kolkata also invites visiting guest professors to give their students more exposure.

Scholarships
Asutosh College, Kolkata has been providing "WB Post Matric Scholarships", "Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM)", and other scholarships as a higher level institute. Only students who have received more than 50% in their prior examination are eligible for the "Aikyashree scholarship". The state government funds the scholarship, which is awarded to qualifying students. The scholarship money is distributed to two categories of students - Day scholars and Hostellers.
