Asansol Engineering College, Asansol is situated on a sprawling 17-acre campus in Asansol, West Bengal. AEC Asansol has a Wi-Fi-enabled campus that boasts well-equipped state-of-the-art facilities and college infrastructure to ensure that students receive a well-rounded and holistic educational experience.
The AEC Asansol campus houses spacious and well-equipped smart classrooms with technology-oriented and project-based learning facilities, contemporary workshops, ICT rooms, Innovation Centres, IIP cells, ED cells, and IEI student chapters. There are two well-equipped seminar halls at AEC Asansol installed with air-conditioning facilities, each of which can accommodate more than 200 people.
The campus boasts cutting-edge laboratory facilities with state-of-the-art lab equipment to impart practical learning to students. Through the Web OPAC, the central library provides computerized catalogue search capabilities (Online Public Access Catalogue). Through this interface, one may access the bibliographic information for more than 65000 volumes.
Along with all of those services, the Central Library of AEC Asansol offers services including a book bank and photocopying, among others. A vast collection of reference volumes is kept in a separate part of the central library. The 156-seat reading room at the library provides a tranquil, quiet space where readers may utilize those books. More than 800 video CDs of lectures given in class by IIT Kharagpur and IIT Delhi staff members are available at the Central Library. The whole collection of CDs is kept on a CD/ Mirror server and made accessible over the campus-wide LAN.
AEC Asansol is a residential institution and offers five hostels divided into two girls’ hostels and three boys’ hostels. The “Vivekananda Hall” boys' hostel is a four-storied building accommodating up to 212 boys and is allotted only to 1st-year boys. 2nd-year boys of AEC Asansol are allotted the “A.P.J.Abdul Kalam Hall” hostel, while final-year boys reside in the third “A.J.C. Bose Boys’ Hostel”. The two girls’ hostels are named Sarojini Girls’ Hostel (New Building) and Sarojini Girls’ Hostel (Old Building). AEC Asansol offers spacious, clean, and well-ventilated hostel rooms accommodating two people each. Hostel accommodation also includes housing and dining facilities including meals such as breakfast, lunch, tiffin, and supper.
Sports facilities on campus include one basketball, football, cricket, and volleyball court each, a well-equipped gymnasium, and indoor gaming rooms. Other facilities offered by AEC Asansol include a medical centre to address medical emergencies and check-ups and a clean and well-kept cafeteria offering a variety of hygienic and tasty regional, South Indian, Chinese, and other cuisines.
