All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Raipur, was established in the year 2012. Being one of several AIIMS health care institutions, it holds a major goal of balancing disequilibrium in healthcare across the country. The autonomous institute has been approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the University Grants Commission (UGC).
The faculty at AIIMS, Raipur, both teaching and non-teaching, are dedicated to providing the best service for students. Guest lecturers are also invited to the AIIMS, Raipur for the betterment of students. The Government-run institution offers an MBBS undergraduate course with a duration of 5.5 years and a 4-year B.Sc Nursing course.
Students are provided with merit-based scholarships.
Admission is conducted online. Students seeking admission for MBBS must have passed their 10+2 school leaving test from a recognised board of secondary education. Eligible students must appear for the NEET and scores obtained in the entrance test determine the selection procedure. Candidates willing to take admissions to B.Sc Nursing degree have to pass the AIIMS paramedical test.
The co-ed institution of AIIMS, Raipur holds a placement cell that helps students by providing practical experiences. Students get recruited by a variety of colleges both in and out of the state.
Spacious classrooms equipped with modern amenities, a traditional library consisting of numerous books, a digital library, on-campus WiFi access, specific laboratories for preclinical, para clinical and clinical departments are some of the facilities that are available at the AIIMS, Raipur.
Besides, there is hostel accommodation separate for boys and girls, sports facilities including a football field, cricket field, tennis court, volleyball court, well-equipped gym, recreation room, medical facilities, and a cafeteria available for students.

Admission Procedure
To apply for admission to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur, candidates have to appear for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET). All the nine AIIMS institutions across India - in New Delhi, Patna, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Rishikesh, Guntur, Raipur, Nagpur, and Bhubaneswar - offer admission through this exam.
AIIMS, Raipur also provide Post-Graduate M.Sc / M.D / M.S and Postdoctoral M.ch / D.M courses with various specialization. To apply for their degree candidate must need to qualify for the entrance examination. For D.M / M.ch degree candidates must qualify Institute of National Importance Super Specialty Entrance Examination.
For MD / MS degree candidates must be completed graduation(MBBS / BDS) with 55% and completed an internship at a recognized institute medical council of India. And the candidate must also appear entrance examination Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET).

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur's faculty, both teaching and non-teaching, is a committed group of people who work hard to provide the best services available. Experienced teaching faculty members have received a number of awards. Faculty members are routinely asked to participate in guest lectures and serve on a number of boards. The faculty also invites guest lecturers to enhance the teaching and learning experiences. Students who are fresh to AIIMS, Raipur's professional programmes (MBBS, B.Sc. Nursing) might have a faculty member oversee them.
