All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhopal (AIIMS Bhopal) was established in 2012 with the major aim to produce well-trained medical and paramedical manpower for the service of the country. The autonomous institute is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and National Medical Commission (NMC). The faculty at the co-ed institute is dedicated to providing the best learning experience for students in the field of medical sciences. Guest lecturers are also invited to AIIMS Bhopal for the betterment of students.

Undergraduate courses offered by the government institute include an MBBS course with a duration of 5.5 years and BSc.(Hons) Nursing course with a duration of 4 years. Admission is conducted online. Students are required to qualify for the Higher Secondary Examination from any recognised board. Eligible candidates must appear for the AIIMS Entrance Exam to get admitted to AIIMS Bhopal's BSc.(Hons) Nursing programme. To get admission to the MBBS programme, candidates must qualify the NEET exam. The selection process is based on scores secured in entrance exams.

AIIMS Bhopal comprises basic academic facilities such as a traditional library, a digital library, a well furnished pathology and laboratory, on-campus Wi-Fi access, air-conditioned smart classrooms, an auditorium and an open-air amphitheatre. Besides, there are sports complexes including a football ground, a cricket field, a tennis court, a basketball court, a volleyball court and indoor gaming facilities, a cafeteria, and medical facilities available for students.

Students are provided with internship opportunities during the course. The students are provided with internships during the tenure of their degree program. Students get opportunities to work in reputed organizations and institutes in and out of the state.

Admission Procedure

To apply for admission to the All India Institute of Medical SciencesBhopal, candidates have to appear for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET). All the nine AIIMS institutions across India - in New Delhi, Patna, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Rishikesh, Guntur, Raipur, Nagpur, and Bhubaneswar - offer admission through this exam.

Interested candidates can apply on their website. For the post-graduate Doctor of Medicine (MD) / Master of Surgery (MS) degree, candidates must complete graduation Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from an institute recognized by the Medical Council of India and qualify the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET). For the Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) / Doctorate of Medicine (DM) courses, admissions are carried out on the basis of scores obtained in Institute of National Importance Super Specialty Test (INI-SS). Candidates applying for the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) courses, need to qualify the University Grants Commisson National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (CSIR-NET), All India Institute of Medical Sciences Exam (AIIMS Exam)

AIIMS Bhopal also offers an Master of Science (MSc) degree in Nursing. For the MSc degree, candidates must complete graduation with Bachelor of Science (BSc) Hons. Nursing / BSc Nursing (Post-Certificate) / Post-BasicB Sc. Nursing (4 years) from any recognized university by the Indian Nursing Council. All candidates must qualify for the AIIMS Exam with a valid score. 

Faculty

The faculty at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhopal has the best teaching as well as non-teaching faculty. The students are assisted by the faculty members and are given feedback for improvement. The faculty members are esteemed members of several boards and are invited as guests to other organisations. AIIMS Bhopal also invites guest lecturers.
