Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute, Coimbatore strives to provide the best available infrastructure to ensure the holistic development of students. The AECARI, Coimbatore Library has a collection of over 200000 printed texts including books, journals, theses, back volumes, etc. Tamil books are present in a separate room. The Reading Hall at AECARI, Coimbatore can accommodate 350 at a time. The digital section of the Library is air-conditioned and has 50 computer systems providing access to a host of digital and online resources such as e-books (CAB, Astral, Taylor and Francis, Elsevier-ScienceDirect, Springer, Wiley, etc.), e-databases (Web of Science, Scopus, indiastat, Commodity India, DELNET, Endnote, iThenticate, etc), e-journals (CeRA, Indianjournals, DOAJ, etc), digitised dissertations and theses, e-magazines and e-newspapers, and many more.
Students at AECARI, Coimbatore are accommodated in separate hostels for boys and girls. There are 6 boys’ hostels, 4 girls’ hostels, and 1 hostel each for PG students with families, PhD students with families, foreign students, and foreign students with families. The Hostels’ provisions include a reading room, a study room, a television hall, guest room, mess facilities with one centralised kitchen and dining hall for girls and 2 kitchens for boys, water purifiers, steam cooking and plate washing system, power inverters, coffee makers, and music system.
Recognising the importance of an active lifestyle, AECARI, Coimbatore has a large playground with provisions for games such as cricket, tennis, badminton, basketball, volleyball and hockey. AECARI, Coimbatore also has a running track and a fully-equipped indoor gymnasium for the students to avail.
AECARI, Coimbatore has multiple course-specific cutting-edge laboratories for the students to acquire practical lessons along with well-equipped classrooms. Additionally, there is a Computer Lab with over 200 set-ups and high-speed internet connection, an Advanced Digital Language Lab, and a Multipurpose Interactive Smart Studio with a seating capacity of more than 200.
There is an on-campus Healthcare Centre staffed with medical officers, nurses and pharmacist, catering to the medical needs of students and staff. Ambulance service is available round-the-clock to transport those in need of further assistance to nearby hospitals.
The Campus of AECARI, Coimbatore has a cafeteria, seminar halls, and other amenities such as photocopying services, dry-cleaning services, parlours, a two-wheeler repair centre, and a footwear repair shop.
