New range for mega-event

Guwahati: The Shooting Federation of India technical director for the 2005 National Games, D.K. Sethi, will arrive here on Saturday to make an on-the-spot assessment of the proposed shooting range at the 4th APBn here. He will assist the Assam Shooting Association in preparing the range for the Games.

GSA meet

Guwahati: The present dispensation of the Guwahati Sports Association’s executive committee will meet here for the last time on April 11 to fix the date for its annual general meeting and election of the new executive.

SAI course

Guwahati: The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has invited applications for six-week certificate courses in coaching for various disciplines at different SAI centres across the country from May 17 to June 25. Interested candidates have been asked to submit their applications by April 10.

Trekking

Guwahati: A 10-member team from Tripura, including one from Guwahati, trekked the 12,000-ft San-Dak-Phu peak on March 7 under the aegis of adventure sports organisation Penguin.
