Funds release ordered
lThe Manipur Human Rights’ Commission has asked the state government to immediately release the funds meant for the maintenance of eight children’s homes. The commission took up the case after eight children’s homes in Manipur lodged a complaint saying that the government had failed to release maintenance grants of over Rs 10 lakh. It has asked the principal secretary, finance, and the commissioner of social welfare department to submit their reports by December 30.Govt loan
lThe Assam government through a notification has offered to sell on tap 6.80 per cent Assam state development loan 2012 having a maturity of 10 years. The sale will be held at the Guwahati and Mumbai offices of the Reserve Bank of India on December 23.
