Yashwantrao Chavan Institute of Science, Satara (YCIS Satara) was established in 1965, in remembrance of Yashwantrao Chavan, the first Chief Minister of Maharashtra. YCIS Satara is a well-known government-aided science institute affiliated with Shivaji University in Kolhapur that offers higher education in the Arts and Commerce streams.

Admission Procedure

Yashwantrao Chavan Institute of Science, Satara offers B.Sc., M.Sc., M.Phil., and Ph.D. degrees. Students must complete the online application form found on the YCIS Satara website. For UG admission at YCIS Satara candidates must pass HSC(10+2) from any recognized board. Candidates for PG admission, must complete bachelor's degree. The final admission of PG at YCIS Satara will be based on the entrance examination (MCQ, offline) conducted by YCIS Satara.
