Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi (XISS Ranchi) is an extension of St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi, and was established in 1955. In 1973, it had been registered as a separate educational society that earned autonomy as a definite identity persuaded to thrive in academic excellence management education and development interventions. Admission Procedure
Xavier Institute of Social Service(XISS) offers 2-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma Courses in the following areas:Human Resource Management (PGDM-HRM), Rural Management (PGDM-RM), Marketing Management (PGDM-MM), Financial Management (PGDM-FM). The institute accepts only online registrations. The minimum qualification for admission to the PGDM program at the Institute is three / four years bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST) in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities.Ranchi considers only the following three admission test scores for shortlisting the candidates: Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIM, and Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) conducted by NTA.

Xavier Institute of Social Service(XISS) Ranchi's, Central Placement Cell, under the direction of the Chief Coordinator, manages the campus placement of XISS students. It functions in collaboration with student-run departmental placement cells. The senior faculty members from the individual departments serve as the departmental placement cells' leaders. Companies interested in campus placement are urged to let XISS know in advance of the date they plan to visit. Group discussions, interviews, online tests, and other selection procedures used by the organisation are carried out virtually. Students may be invited, if necessary, to the company's headquarters for final interviews at its expense. Depending on the organization's needs, the hiring process can be done via a virtual platform.
